Making History ProjectVeterans Help and Assistance

One cause that remains dear to me.  That cause above all is helping Veterans.  We all can help in many different ways.  Some ways that I am trying to help is by providing discounted legal services for Veterans through my law office.

Other opportunities exist by volunteering with the Health Rights Clinic sponsored by the University of Miami School of Law which assists Veterans with health care benefit issues.

Making History One Day at a Time

One more unique way to assist is to preserve the memories and stories of Veterans through Oral History.  If steps are not taken to gather and share these memories, they will be lost for all of the future.  To that end, I have started the Making History Project.

The Making History Project aims to collect and preserve the memories of all Veterans and especially those involved in World War II.  This is done by meeting and interviewing Veterans, gathering photographs, documents, and artifacts and preserving all of them for the future.  These materials will be shared with the U.S. Library of Congress, the National World War II Museum, the National D-Day Memorial, and other appropriate archives.

How You Can Help

While we cannot change history, we can make history today by preserving it for future generations so it can be viewed and appreciated.  There are many ways you can help with the Making History Project.  You can contribute content either through oral history interviews, photos, documents or artifacts.  You can encourage others to contribute content.  You can get the word out to Veterans to contact us so they can share and preserve their memories.  A wonderful benefit to all of this is that the Veteran will be provided with a digital copy of their own oral history so they can share the same with their family members. If you know a Veteran, by all means let us know or encourage them to contact us.  Now let’s go make some history!
