How to Market Yourself and Find Work as a Freelance Attorney
Many experienced attorneys are looking for alternative ways to practice law. It could be for a myriad reasons. For example, the attorney may have just had a baby and wants to work remotely part-time, or is a retired partner but still wants to practice in a flexible manner, or may have outside hobbies and interests and don’t want to work full-time. Florida Legal News: Florida Takes First Step Toward Criminalizing Trans People’s Bathroom Use
A Florida House subcommittee approved a controversial bill Wednesday that aims to bar citizens from using single-sex public restrooms, dressing rooms, and showers that do not correspond with the gender listed on their legal identification, reports the Tampa Bay Times.

Florida Legal News: Florida Governor Rick Scott Abandons Efforts To Require Drug Tests For Welfare Recipients
Passing up a Tuesday deadline to file an appeal to the Supreme Court, Florida Governor Rick Scott (R) has abandoned his efforts to require mandatory drug tests for welfare recipients. On Wednesday, the Associated Press confirmed, through Scott’s spokeswoman, Jackie Schutz that the Governor had decided not to appeal a federal judge’s ruling that the drug testing was unconstitutional.
