The Florida E-File Court Portal plans to finally add E-Service. Presently, lawyers must e-file papers with the E-File Court Portal and then separately send an email to opposing parties with the very same documents to serve them. The addition of E-Service will allow lawyers at the end of the E-File process to select the various lawyers on the file for E-Service which will automatically send them a PDF copy of the paper filed. The goal is streamline the process and make the entire system simpler to use. The plan is to roll out the E-Service option in mid-September. Stay tuned….
